Who We Are
Casa San Pedro is an independent living retirement facility with six apartments
built and maintained by the Diocese of Saint Augustine. The facility is primarily
for retired priests of the diocese, but is also available to other priests
and religious who desire a beautiful, quiet environment for either a short
or extended period of time.
Location
Casa San Pedro is located on the grounds of Marywood Retreat Center. The center
is approximately 30 minutes south of Jacksonville and 30 miles NW of St. Augustine.
There are shopping centers within 2.5 miles of Marywood that provide restaurants,
specialty shops, pharmacies, post office and gas stations. The heavily wooded
property provides many opportunities for reflective walking or quiet meditation
in the great outdoors. There are docks that extend out over the St. John’s
River which offer another milieu for enjoying nature.
Living Quarters
Each completely furnished apartment contains kitchen with full size appliances,
study or library, large bedroom with a walk in closet, bathroom with a shower,
dining and living rooms, washer and dryer, and a separate private garage with
covered walkways leading to the apartments. All utilities are furnished except
telephone services and an Internet provider. There is a private chapel for the
residents to celebrate Eucharist as well as the main chapel at Marywood.

Services
Residents are responsible for providing their own breakfast and lunch with
supper served in the commons dining room for all residents from Monday through
Friday. Arrangements for additional meals for the weekend can be made with
the Marywood Retreat Center provided that there are groups in attendance.
Residents are also responsible for their own personal items, laundry and
the cleaning of their apartments. All of the programs offered at the Marywood
Retreat Center are also available to the residents.
