| Program Description: |
This program presents a blending of faith and the creative mystical processes in literary art. We do not have to be a published author to unlock our creativity through prose. The tools to share in this experience are God given through creation with each of us. By design, both divine and human, each of us since childhood have nurtured different levels of imagination, curiosity and spirituality.
We shall come together in an informal manner to write from within ourselves expressions of thought, both impressionistic and spiritual. Our more creative selves will be ignited exploring together the genres of children's literature, poetry, as well as the poetic voice within letters.
Jan Atchley Bevan is a Literary Artist and was the author in residece of the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens as well as Museum Educator in Jacksonville. She has authored children's literature, poetry and historical fiction. She is also a musical composer.

Preparation for this retreat began with a need to understand more about the Mass. This retreat brings more of an awareness of the gifts God has for us through His mass. The spiritual path is a journey of integration of Mind and Heart, of the 'ego' - our surface self and the deeper spiritual 'self', the center of our whole being, where Christ dwells.
In prayer, Christ the Healer makes us aware of all the lost, suppresed facets of ourselves, which Jung called the Shadow, and these are recovered and integrated. Thus we are transformed and our actions flow from our true self in Christ and we become aware that 'in Him we live, and move and have our being.'
During this retreat, we will explore together what helps and hinders us on this journey and the role meditation, contemplative prayer, plays in this, allowing grace to enter and make us whole.
Kim Nataraja has been leading Christian Meditation and workshops in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Singapore, Australia, Canada and the US since 2001. She is a Spiritual Director and international school coordinator for the World Community for Christian Meditation.

This workshop will present choral Advent and Christmas Music to aid in the planning and preparation of parish choirs. It will also highlight the use of effective music for the worshiping assembly.
Whether you are a member of the choir or of the congregation, come out for an evening of new music and new ways of presenting traditional Advent and Christmas music.
Bernie is Director of Music for Christ the King parish here in Jacksonville. He has been a music minister for 40 years and brings a wonderful sense of humor to his ministry.
